Tax Dept Encourages Residents to Utilize OTS Scheme and ‘Mera Bill’ App through Awareness Campaign.
The taxation department of the state government is actively promoting its one-time settlement (OTS) scheme for GST payments and the ‘Mera Bill’ app through an awareness campaign.
Officials in the Ludhiana division are organizing OTS camps to encourage taxpayers to take advantage of the scheme, which allows them to pay half of the imposed tax while having interest and penalties waived off. Door-to-door drives and personal contacts are being utilized to inform taxpayers about these opportunities. Additionally, officials are extensively promoting the ‘Mera Bill’ app across the district and state.
The campaign, directed by taxation commissioner Arshdeep Singh Thind and deputy commissioner of state GST, Darvir Raj Kaur, also includes inspections at various departmental stores such as the one conducted at a store on Jassian Road, Haibowal.
